As a Senior Digital Marketing/Fundraising Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing robust, data-driven strategies that drive results for nonprofit organizations of all sizes. This role requires expertise in nonprofit fundraising campaigns, proficiency in digital marketing platforms, and a strong ability to analyze KPIs to inform strategy. Your leadership and vision will help nonprofits achieve their goals through innovative digital solutions and measurable impact.
While this role is strategically oriented, it demands a hands-on approach in guiding the tactical execution of initiatives across various digital platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, and account managers, to deliver effective fundraising campaigns and appeals. Additionally, you will mentor team members, ensure tools and platforms are used to their fullest potential, and provide clear performance insights to clients. Your ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution is key to success in this role.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Nonprofit Digital Campaign Development: Design and implement digital fundraising campaigns and appeals tailored to nonprofit organizations, aligning with their missions and goals.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Analyze and interpret campaign performance metrics, using KPIs to inform decisions and refine strategies. Ensure consistent reporting to clients with actionable insights.
- Digital Platform Expertise: Leverage tools like Google Ads, Meta Ads, email marketing platforms, and CRM systems to optimize campaigns. Oversee proper setup and integration of analytics platforms, such as GA4 and tracking pixels.
- Strategic Content Collaboration: Collaborate with the Senior Content Strategist as part of the overall marketing and development strategies, ensuring marketing and content alignment with client objectives.
- Campaign Oversight: Oversee the execution of digital marketing campaigns from conception through analysis, ensuring they meet strategic objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and develop team members, ensuring they understand and effectively execute strategies while continuously improving their skills.
- Client Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to nonprofit clients, articulating strategic recommendations and delivering campaign results that meet or exceed expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with content, design, and account teams to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.
- Emerging Trends: Stay current with digital marketing tools, technologies, and trends and nonprofit fundraising innovations to provide clients with cutting-edge strategies.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, including a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, execute, and optimize fundraising appeals across multiple channels.
- Understanding of analytics platforms (e.g., GA4), digital ad tools (Google Ads, Meta), and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with nonprofit-specific tools like Classy or Virtuous.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, including presenting strategies and data in a clear, compelling way to clients and stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, with a history of mentoring and empowering team members.
- Commitment to understanding and amplifying the missions of nonprofit organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced certifications in Marketing, Business, Development, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting conversion tracking, pixels, and integration between platforms.
- Advanced certifications in digital marketing platforms (Google, Meta, etc.).
