Church website design and development

Most first visits start on your website.

Before anyone walks through your doors, they've already looked you up. Get a church website that makes new people feel expected, keeps your members in the loop, and is easy for your staff to run.

  • Designed around your church.

Your people, your photos, your voice. Not a template with your logo dropped in.

  • Update it yourself, anytime.

Service times change on a Thursday? Anyone on staff can fix it. Or send it to us. We won't tell anyone.

  • Built for the next step.

Plan a visit, watch a message, join a group, give. Every page makes the next step obvious.

A first impression that feels like a welcome.

A guest decides in seconds whether your church is for them. We help you say who you are, what Sunday is like, and what to do next, in the words a first-time visitor would actually use.

Easy to update, by anyone on your staff.

Service times change, events fill up, and Sunday's message needs posting by Monday. With a simple visual editor, anyone on staff can make the change the same day. No code, and no waiting on a volunteer.

“Louder really stepped up our marketing. They became a part of our team to develop our messaging, website, and more. We learned a lot from the experience and now our team has the experience and processes we need to do it ourselves.”

FAQ

Questions churches ask about website design.

What does church website design include?

Strategy, messaging, sitemap, design, build, integrations, testing, launch, and training, with the site structured around the next steps you want people to take: planning a visit, watching a message, joining a group, serving, and giving. Many projects start with a Blueprint, a detailed strategy plan, so the plan comes before the design.

How much does a church website cost?

LaunchPad sites start at $6,500 and are scoped for small and midsize churches. Bespoke projects are scoped in the Blueprint based on the features, integrations, and content involved. There are no hidden hosting or licensing fees; ongoing support is available through Web Care.

How long does a church website take?

LaunchPad sites typically launch in four to six weeks. Bespoke projects are scoped individually, and the Blueprint gives you a timeline before the build starts.

Can we post sermons and show our livestream?

Yes. A sermon library is built in, so messages can be organized and found by series, and your livestream can sit right on the site. Your team posts each week's message without touching code.

Does it work with Planning Center and our giving platform?

Yes. We integrate with Planning Center, and your giving platform lives in a giving hub on the site. Bespoke projects can include deeper custom integrations with your church management software.

We have more than one campus. Can you handle that?

Yes. Multi-campus and multi-brand structures are part of our Bespoke projects, with shared content where it helps and campus-specific pages where it matters.

Will we lose our Google rankings in a redesign?

It shouldn't. We preserve URLs where possible, set up redirects for everything that changes, and build on a technical foundation designed for search and AI visibility.

What platform do you build on?

Most of our sites are built on WordPress, with a flexible page builder and a custom library of sections designed in your brand. You own the site and can edit it without code.

Can our staff update the site ourselves?

Yes. We train your team, and the section library means new pages still look like they came from us. If you'd rather hand it off, Web Care covers updates and edits.

Do you write the copy?

We write the messaging strategy on every project. LaunchPad includes page copy written for you. On Bespoke projects, the Blueprint scopes how much copy we write versus what your team provides.

What happens after launch?

Training for your team, then Web Care if you want ongoing support: security, updates, backups, and edits handled by our team. We still maintain over 200 of the sites we've built.

Do you also work with nonprofits and schools?

Yes. Louder builds for nonprofits, ministries, faith-based organizations, and schools. See our nonprofit websites page.
